It's the same paper that pointed out late last week that Bradshaw was limping through much of the offseason workouts. Brandon Jacobs' committee partner will likely be eased in just once a day in camp, but it's safe to draft him as a RB3. Just keep in mind that both Giants backs are injury risks.

Both the NY Daily News and Newark Star-Ledger have observed Bradshaw getting the first crack in every drill. Though Jacobs has reportedly shown improved burst, he is clearly in danger of losing his "starting" job. We're not sure it's a coaching staff trick after Bradshaw outplayed Jacobs all last year. Now completely healthy, Bradshaw could flirt with 14-17 touches a game if he opens the regular season as a first-teamer. Confidently move him up your rankings into the high-end RB3 range.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>This is notable considering Jacobs has repeatedly blamed knee problems for his miserable 2009 campaign. He had cleanup surgery in the offseason and is apparently now 100 percent. Although Ahmad Bradshaw has taken the first snap in every practice so far, Jacobs will be the starter come Week 1 and is a strong candidate to have a bounce-back season.

Bradshaw made a nifty run on the third play from scrimmage, evading numerous Patriots including Vince Wilfork for an 11-yard rush. He picked up seven yards on a carry the very next play, and on the same drive took a checkdown 17 yards to get into the red zone. Bradshaw was on the field for the Giants' entire first series. He will start over Brandon Jacobs in Week 1.

Bradshaw has cemented his role as the "starter," but it may be premature to label him as a true feature back. Jacobs is going to stay heavily involved.

As long as Bradshaw stays healthy, he has the potential to make Brandon Jacobs a fantasy afterthought.

Bradshaw was in and out of the lineup in the second half Sunday night. He did close out the contest, but this is a reminder that Bradshaw isn't an especially good bet to hold up for 16 games. He's probably headed for some practice time off this week. The Giants face the run-tough Texans in Week 5.

It appears he'll be a full participant by the end of the week. Bradshaw is averaging 5.1 yards per carry with three rushing scores in four starts, though he's lost three fumbles. He's "punishing himself" this week by carrying a ball around with him wherever he goes. Bradshaw is on track to start Sunday against a Texans team that ranks second in the league in run defense.

However, reporters observed that Bradsdhaw took the vast majority of first-team reps, and all indications coming out of New York and from Bradshaw himself are that he's likely to start against the Texans. Despite a matchup with Houston's No. 2 run defense, he's our No. 11 RB1 fantasy play this week.

Both players remain RB2 options against a typically leaky Jaguars run defense in Week 12.
